News

Posted on November 18, 2021

Kuala Lumpur, 18 November 2021 – MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSIA (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, offers unaccompanied test-drive option for Klang Valley customers who wish to test-drive a Mitsubishi without being accompanied by a Mitsubishi Motors Sales Consultant.

This option comes as Klang Valley retains a strong buyer demand for the Triton Athlete pick-up truck and the XPANDER seven-seater crossover. However, with COVID-19 active cases still relevant, the company offers customers the option to experience the driving pleasure of a Mitsubishi accompanied by a Sales Consultant or unaccompanied.

Customers will need to visit MMM’s official website https://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.my/testdrive2u/ and submit a Test-Drive request. Mitsubishi Motors authorized personnel will then contact the customer to verify and confirm the appointment and make necessary arrangements to deliver the test-drive vehicle to the customer’s preferred location.

Before handing the test-drive vehicle to the customer, Mitsubishi Motors authorized personnel will sanitize all touch points of the vehicle and provide product information. The customer is then free to test drive the vehicle to an hour before returning it to the same location as its pick-up point.

“As the nation move towards the endemic era, living with COVID-19 and SOPs are the new-norm challenges that we need to adapt to. As a company, we adapt our business primarily to keep our customers safe. Hence we offer the unaccompanied test-drive option for a peace-of-mind shopping experience. This option will allow our customers to experience the Mitsubishi cars on their terms with limited contact,” said Shinya Ikeda, Chief Executive Officer of MMM.

Ikeda added, “Shopping for a new vehicle present day is different than it was before the pandemic. At Mitsubishi Motors, we saw this as an opportunity to improve our customer’s experience and convenience. Through our Mitsubishi Online Showroom, customers can now learn about Mitsubishi vehicles, and they only need to fill up a form to schedule an appointment with our authorized dealers. We will then take care of the rest of the process right to delivering the Mitsubishi vehicle to customer’s doorsteps.”

In addition, customers who wish to schedule a service for their Mitsubishi may make a service appointment via the MITSUBISHI CONNECT MY mobile app available for download via the Apple App store or Google Playstore. For further information, kindly contact MMM’s Customer Careline at 1800 18 8161.

Mitsubishi Motors Continues to Support Various COVID-19 Aid Efforts

News

Posted on August 12, 2021

Kuala Lumpur, 12 August 2021 – MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSIA (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, is stepping up to the plate again to do its part to support various COVID-19 aid efforts as Malaysia continues its fight against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company today loaned three Mitsubishi vehicles and donated RM20, 000 to Mercy Malaysia to purchase 400 units of Tyvek suites for frontliners which was distributed to three COVID-19 Assessment Centres (CAC) in Stadium Melawati, Stadium Jugra, and Klinik Kesihatan Gombak Setia. Mitsubishi Motors also purchased RM43, 000 worth of items needed for a CAC in Hulu Langat.

As Malaysia is still on the brink of COVID-19 infections, Mitsubishi Motors wants to play a role in flattening the nation’s curve by working together with Mercy Malaysia. Loaning a Triton pick-up truck and two Outlander seven-seater SUVs will provide transportation support to frontliners to commute to vaccination centers (PPV) for the public outreach vaccination program.

On the other hand, the financial contribution will assist the health workers further in conducting extensive screening on possible virus carriers, contract tracing, isolating the infected, and dispensing care to those who need it.

Mitsubishi Motors’ other initiatives include contributing essential items needed for a CAC center such as tents, tables, and chairs, portable air-condition units, queue barriers, and heavy-duty wires. At the CAC, COVID-19 patients will be accessed before they are sent to hospitals, quarantine at treatment centers, or ordered to undergo quarantine at home. The CAC which Mitsubishi Motors is assisting in can accommodate up to 400 patients a day.

“Although our core business is producing cars, we are committed to doing our part in ensuring the country and our customers are kept safe. The recent increase in cases and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has led to significant emotional stress among the country’s frontliners, particularly healthcare workers in Malaysia. We will continue to communicate closely with key NGOs and public institutions to see how Mitsubishi Motors can continue to contribute. This pandemic is one of the most challenging times we have faced as a nation and thus we must step up and breach the support needed especially now where COVID-19 infections are at their highest. We thank our brave frontliners who worked tirelessly for us all,” said Tomoyuki Shinnishi, Chief Executive Officer of MMM.

News

Posted on August 9, 2021

Kuala Lumpur, 9 August 2021 – MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSIA (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, recently made enhancements to the MITSUBISHI CONNECT MY mobile application. The company’s effort to strengthen digital technology continues to be one of the emphases offering comprehensive customer-centric online strategies for the safety and convenience of its customers during this pandemic.

The mobile app already enables Mitsubishi owners to book a service appointment, receive service appointment reminders and check service histories. Now, the mobile app allows Mitsubishi owners to drop their cars at the service center and continue to wait at the comfort of their homes as the app provides service status notifications of their vehicle and when it is ready for collection.

Keeping track of the vehicle’s service cost and warranty details could be a tedious affair; hence one of the mobile app’s useful functions is to keep owners informed about their upcoming service cost estimation and warranty details for ease of planning. In addition, road tax and insurance renewal reminders will also be notified through the app.

Additionally, Mitsubishi owners can request roadside assistance service in a breakdown or accident using the SOS Trace & Track feature. By tapping on the ‘SOS’ function on the app, the user’s location can be tracked accurately using a GPS locator and its details will be verified by a customer service personnel from Mitsubishi Motors to send help immediately.

“The pandemic has created great demands on us as a society and despite the challenges; it also allowed us to be more resilient and agile in this new digital technology environment.

Besides technology on improving customer’s convenience, the safety of our customers and staff is also our utmost priority. With the enhancements of the MITSUBISHI CONNECT MY mobile app together with the Mitsubishi Online Showroom, we want to assure our customers that we are engaging with them through a seamless journey from purchase to ownership in a safe environment,” said Tomoyuki Shinnishi, Chief Executive Officer of MMM.

Other useful functions of the MITSUBISHI CONNECT MY include staying in touch with the Mitsubishi Assist 24Hrs customer careline (MA24) reachable at 1-800-88-2166. Owners can also access to a 24-Hour breakdown assistance throughout Malaysia as well as emergency services should the situation arises.

MITSUBISHI CONNECT MY can also be used to locate the nearest Mitsubishi authorized dealer showroom and service centers with dealer information and navigation sync with the app to help get customers to the dealer of their choice or convenience.

Beyond servicing-related functions, Mitsubishi owners can also stay up to date with Mitsubishi’s latest promotions, news, and events, search for product information and download e-Brouchures from the app.

The mobile app with the search name MITSUBISHI CONNECT MY is available for download via Google Play Store and Apple App Store for free.
