How to Handle an Accident

Owning a Mitsubishi means being part of a family that prioritises your safety and peace of mind. While we hope you never experience an accident, it’s essential to be prepared and know exactly what to do if the unexpected happens.

Stay Calm.

First, ensure you and any passengers are unhurt and safe. Keep calm to assess the situation effectively.

Activate Hazard Lights & Pull Over.

If possible, move your vehicle to the side of the road to avoid obstructing traffic. Turn on your hazard lights to signal other drivers

Document the Incident.

Take photos of any damage and note the vehicle number of the other party involved.

Decline Unauthorised Help & Don’t Sign Any Documents.

Do not accept assistance from unauthorised parties, and avoid signing any documents on the scene, as this could commit you to using a non-authorised workshop.

Contact MA24 Assist / Authorised Body & Paint Centre.

Call 1800-88-2166 for immediate roadside assistance or towing services. Ensure the tow truck delivers your vehicle to a repair shop listed as an authorised Mitsubishi dealer.

File a Police Report Within 24 Hours.

Report the incident to the police, after which your vehicle will be towed to an authorised Mitsubishi Body & Paint Centre.

Initiate Insurance Claim Process.

Submit the necessary documents. The workshop will provide an estimated repair cost for submission to your insurance company.

Authorise Repairs / Sign Discharge Document.

Once your insurance claim is approved, repair work will commence, and your vehicle will soon be restored to its optimal condition.

Mitsubishi Authorised Towing Service
